DANLOW
空間内部に8本の柱を設け、新たなバウンダリーを形成しました。柱は単なる構造要素にとどまらず、空間の流れを分節する装置として機能します。上部へと伸びる柱の間には棚を構成し、構造体でありながらディスプレイ機能も同時に担う計画としました。コンクリートブロックで制作したディスプレイは、端部をあえてラフに仕上げることで素材そのものの質感を強調しています。一方、ガラスブロックで構成した什器は、透明で整った質感によって対比を生み出します。相反する二つの素材は緊張感を生みながらも、一つの空間の中でバランスを保ち、粗さと透明感が共存するニュアンスを創出しています。
その上に、DANLOWのプロダクトのためにデザインしたLEDライトボックス、ステンレス製の香りテスター、そしてお香ボックスを設え、空間にレイヤーを重ねました。それぞれの要素が素材の対比を引き立てながら、全体のトーンを統合し、空間の完成度を高めています。
English / Eight columns were introduced within the space to establish a new boundary. Rather than functioning as structural elements, the columns act as devices that articulate and segment the flow of the space. Shelving was integrated between the vertically extended columns, allowing them to operate simultaneously as structural components and display elements. The display constructed with concrete blocks features intentionally rough-finished edges, emphasizing the inherent materiality of the surface.
In contrast, the glass block fixtures introduce a refined transparency, creating a deliberate material contrast. While these two opposing materials generate a sense of tension, they remain balanced within a single spatial composition, producing a nuanced coexistence of rawness and clarity. Layered onto this composition are the LED light box, stainless steel fragrance tester, and incense box designed specifically for DANLOW. Each element reinforces the material contrast while unifying the overall tone, ultimately elevating the spatial completeness.
